FEEDER Discriptions:
Tubifex tubifex aka Blood Worms
There are two types of Tubificid worms (Phylum Annelida, Order Oligochaeta, Family Tubificidae) which are raised and sold as fish food.... the red Tubifex (Tubifex tubifex) which has been in the hobby for about 100 years, and the black Tubifex which is a similar species that is darker in color. Some pet stores sell Tubifex as ``Live Bloodworms'' which is a misnomer because Bloodworms are the larvae of a type of fly. Pet Plaza carries these both LIVE and Frozen.
Earthworm aka NightCrawlers
Earthworm is the usual name for the largest members of Oligochaeta. They are hsed mainly for feeding large turtles and fish, and then thier are a few specialty lizards that eat them exclusively. The Mountain Horned Lizard is kept at Pet Plaza and only eats earthworms or nightcrawlers. Pet Plaza carries 50 count Tubs for your animals needs.
Red Worms
Cacatua molluccensis - Like a big, pink version of the Umbrella, these guys are impressive! At 20" long or a bit more, they're *big*. They range from basically white to a washed out deep salmon pink; all have that salmon pink crest, leading to the alternate name of "Salmon Crested Cockatoo". They are the ultimate cockatoo and perhaps the most demanding of all. They're a bit less active and more layed-back than the Umbrella, but otherwise still have that ultra-cuddly, ultra-demanding
